London is a city known for its great history and heritage thus making it an attractive tourist destination. Many tourists from all over the world come to  learn, explore and have fun and our learners had the opportunity to be part.

On Friday, 29th September,2023, our learners had a nice time exploring Greater London. We hopped onto our pre- booked ‘hop-on hop- off” tour bus from Victoria Station and started our tour from there.

The bus had an on board commentary where our learners listened to the fascinating history and stories behind various places and buildings we drove by.

We drove by and saw:

  • Big Ben (also known as London Clock Tower)
  • Parliament Square
  • London Eye; here, we hopped off to get lunch and we witnessed amazing performances like aerobatics from our fellow Ghanaians who entertained the crowd gathered.

We also took a stroll along the famous London Bridge and later hopped on into the next bus to continue our tour.

Other interesting sites we saw were:

  • St. Paul’s Cathedral (one of the oldest churches in London)
  • River Thames
  • St. Thomas Hospital
  • Westminster Abbey
  • Buckingham Palace. We hopped off here and took a stroll around the Palace.

To mark our last day in London, we took some memorable pictures and made sure we paid close attention to the various sites we drove by and listened well to the educative commentaries about each place or building we drove by.

In all, it was another good experience for our learners and we can only thank God for this amazing opportunity.
